Course objectives
- introduce students to current trends in Shakespeare studies
- introduce students to theatre history in Central Europe after 1989
Learning outcomes
- students get general knowledge about actual trends in Shakespeare studies
- students are able to critically asses academic presentations in English
Syllabus
  • The course includes students participation at online conference "Shakespeare in Central Europe after 1989: common heritage and regional identity", which takes place 18-19 of March 2021.
  • Students also study special issue of Theatralia published at occasion of the conference.
  • The conference programme is avaliable in Study materials of the course. Students register for the conference events as standard participants on the link below

Assessment methods
Students take part in at least one conference day, study special issue of Theatralia and provide critical evaluation of key issues, problems and methodology in paer in English (min. 5400 signs).
