Course objectives
The aim of the course is to explore the reasons and ways of adapting Ingmar Bergman's texts. In addition to his own films, we will focus on Czech and foreig theater, radio and TV adaptations. We will try to understand these adaptations as interlingual and intersemiotic translations (Jacobson) and recoded transpositions (Hutcheon).
