Course objectives
Student will be able to compare the history of Egypt, Near Asia, India and China and the oldest ancient civilizations of Europa to each other; he accepts the knowledge of the main features of the thinking and culture and of the heritage of this civilisations in the contemporary world.
Syllabus
  • The subject of the seminars will be the reading of sources regarding the history of ancient Near East and getting to know its material culture as well. Students will be also introduced to the opinions of the modern historians on the development in respective areas of this cradle of the mankind. Futher they will lear the geography of the near-east world and come to know with more detail its most importants sites.
  • On part of each seminar meeting will be dedicated to presentation of a paper focused on the stated themes.
