Course objectives
At the end of the course students will be able to work with the most important sources for this period and deduce the independent statements from them.
Syllabus
  • In this seminar students will be apprised with the most important historical works from the era of the Roman Republic, the Principate and the Dominate, we will read legislative sources, letters, biographies etc. as well. In the end we will focus on Germanic lawbooks and early-medieval notes about our country.
  • The selection of the sources will be changing.
