Course objectives
Students spend a longer research stay at a foreign university or research institute according to their own choice and as agreed with their supervisor within one of the accessible scholarship programs (Erasmus+, Freemover, international cultural agreements etc.).
The stay must have a minimum length of one month.
Learning outcomes
Students will obtain consultations at one of the distinguished foreign institutions dealing with ancient history. They will enrich their knowledge of secondary literature relevant to their doctoral research, or attend special lectures/seminars at the hosting institution.
Syllabus
  • At aforeign institution, students collect and study the sources related to their doctoral thesis, elaborate on its particular chapters, consult with foreign experts, and, if possible, attend courses offered by the host institution.
  • Part-time students are allowed to substitute consultations with a foreign scholar/-s for the stay abroad (in agreement with the Doctoral Board).
Literature
  • Literatura je předepsána individuálně podle tématu práce.
  • The literature is prescribed individually according to the topic of the thesis.
Teaching methods
Students choose particular objective of their stay according to the offer of the foreign institution and the agreement with their supervisor.
Assessment methods
In order to gain credits, students have to meet the prearranged objective of the stay.
