Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain basic terminology of discipline History of Art (Propaedeutic of discipline History of Art).
Syllabus
  • 1. Object of History of Art - his material, time and geographical definition. & 2. Arthistorical Categories (architecture, sculpture, painting, applied arts, photography). & 3. Arthistorical institutions. & 4. Chronology in History of Art - Style and epoch. & 5. "Seeing" a "knowledge" as a precondition of work of the art historian. & 6. Description of work of art and his purpose. & 7. Problems of authorship, date and place of origin of artistic works. & 8. Original, copy, forgery - "aura" of work of art. & 9. History of Art and other humanistic disciplines. & 10. Main arthistorical methods and techniques. &
