Selected chapters from the history of the baroque wall painting in Central Europe.

Syllabus

"Bildertheologie", images from the classical mythology, image of nudity, censorship.
Iconography and iconology: glorification/apotheosis as the most important iconographic theme of early modern art.
The Jesuits order - orders and their influence on the formation of baroque wall painting.
Illusionism in baroque wall painting; relationship between wall paintings and architecture.
