Course objectives
Seminar focused on acquaintance with Czech art in the years 1970-2000. Emphasis on work with literature and period documents, visual identification of individual creative creative positions, contemporary state of research, institutional reflection and interpretative approaches. Local South Moravian context.
Learning outcomes
- the ability to identify and characterize the mainstream artistic currents
- contextual analysis of period texts and studies
- ability to work with period sources and literature
- analysis of the work of art in the context of the authorship and society
- basic overview of the institutionalization of contemporary art (representation in public and private collections)
- a sovereign orientation in the work of key regional authors of the period
