- Course objectives
- The seminar is an introduction to the work with language in a literary text. The objective is to acquire the skill of reading an imaginative text and basic knowledge in poetics and literary theory. The course is designed for first-year students.

- Assessment methods
- The course consists of a lecture series with seminar discussions of textual examples. The assessment is based on the final written test, consisting of two questions: one is theoretical (explaining and illustrating individual terms), the other is practical (critical analysis of the text provided).
