Course objectives
The aim of the authoress of the lecture is to describe the situation of the theatre at the beginning of the 20th century when the realistic and naturalistic aesthetics becomes exhausted and many directors try to limit dominance of the text and to make director the most important element of staging.

  • Conception of theatre as art - E. G. Craig, A. Appia P. Behrens a G. Fuchs - the theatre as a festival M. Reinhardt and his reform of stage Futurism on the stage activities, persons, manifestos Dada and its three lines - Swiss, German and French
