Course objectives
The aim of the course, which is the second in the series of three courses focused on Contemporary Scandinavian drama (the course Contemporary Danish Drama will follow), is to acquaint students with modern trends in Swedish playwriting and to view them in the context of contemporary European drama. We will deal with playwrights such as Lars Norén, Per Olov Enquist, Ingmar Bergman, Marianne Goldman, Mattias Andersson, Isa Schöier, Anders Nyman, Anne-Sofie Nielsen, Eva Brise, Claude Kayat and others. Students' presentations will be a part of the course.
