Course objectives
Course deals with divers topics from European culture, art, and history with a special regard to cross-influences, contextuality and interpenetrations of the cultural, social and national identities.
Syllabus
  • Kurs proběhne ve čtrnáctidenním intervalu, a sice v následujících šesti termínech: 25. února 10. března 31. března 14. dubna 28. dubna 12. května Projekce budou zpřístupňovat vesměs těžko dostupné filmy. 1) Michael Wood: In Search of Shakespeare (BBC 2002) 2) Renato Castellani: Romeo a Juliet (1954) + srovnání se slavnou Zeffirelliho adaptací (1968)a s West Side Story 3) Hamletovské adaptace (srovnání ukázek): Laurence Olivier, Smoktunovkij/Kozincev (1964); Gibson/Zeffirelli, Branagh (1996), Tennant/Doran 4) Macbeth: Orson Wells, Roman Polanski,aj. 5) Dokumenty o Shakespearových současnících (William Byrd).
