Course objectives
Course description: The story of Dr Faustus as "a travelling subject-matter" of European literature from so-called FaustBuch to Marlowe, via Goethe up to Doctor Faustus by Th. Mann or Master and Margaret by M. Bulgakov. Transpositions and variations of the subject-matter accompanied with analyses from the moral, aesthetic and literary points of view.
