Prerequisites
The course is intended for reading and discussion, part of it is teaching in selected art studios; its theme is the relationship of art history (art theory) and aesthetics, on the example of a few points of contact (a romantic order of arts; museum as a universe; a modern History of Art and its methodology; "The End of Art"; a philosophical critique of art and Aesthetics; Picture Theory; practice and art criticim etc.). The prerequisite for the course is an active interest in the methodological issues of Art History and Aesthetics; its aim is a better orientation in the history of both disciplines and their specificities.

Course objectives
After passing the course, students are able to better understand the relations between Aesthetics, Theory of Art and Art History. They are able to use relevant basic concepts, realize connections between philosophical/ critical praxis and historical approaches etc.
