Course objectives
The aim of this course is to introduce the field of digital humanities with the intention of using digital tools in cinema history research on a set of individual research projects. The main goal of this course is to show how digital technologies can enrich the methodologies of historical research as well as to introduce new questions that this approach can reveal. This course offers an introduction to digital humanities, the basic technologies, personalities and projects that have fundamentally influenced this field.
Learning outcomes
This course will orient students in a wide variety of digital tools and techniques that allow researchers to ask new types of questions. After completing the course, the students should be able to formulate research questions and navigate themselves in choosing the proper digital technology for their research.

Assessment methods
Written test (max 30 points), final project (max 70 points). A minimum of 75 points is needed to pass the course.
