Course objectives
The final written exam is to verify the student’s level of knowledge in the field of French normative grammar. The final written exam focuses on material handled in Normative Grammar I – III.
Syllabus
  • The written exam consists of:
  • PART I (dictionary not allowed)
  • 1) understanding spoken text and content of the synthesis frame
  • 2) Adequate, ie. spelling and grammar standards corresponding to the transfer of listening comprehension in the form of dictation
  • PART II (possibility of monolingual dictionary)
  • 3) Understanding of a written text and adequate summary (résumé)
  • PART III (possibility of a translation dictionary Č-F)
  • 4) Ability to convert text to the appropriate grammatical and stylistic level from Czech to French with emphasis on the systemic differences between the two languages (with using dictionary).

Teaching methods
Passing through the course in Moodle (Elf). Application of theoretical knowledge on authentic texts. During their presentations students show their ability to interconnect on their own their theoretical knowledge and practical analysis of a specific text.
Assessment methods
Written test is required (minimum 65%), where student shows their ability to apply lingustic phenomena in accordance with the standard.
