Understand and learn to analyze the constitutive components of French-Canadian culture and francophone cultures of North America.

Ability to analyze texts.
Syllabus
  • The course proposes to treat some of the strata that constitute the French-Canadian cultural identity: 1) Relationship between French-Canadian culture and France: problematic relationship between the center and the periphery, the problem of the deperiperisation 2) Relationship between French-Canadian culture and the First Nations 3) Fascinating Far North, this virgin country 4) Religious sensitivity 5) Family 6) French-Canadian culture and immigration
