Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able to orientate in conceptual, technical and cultural frame of art of new media. Attention will be paid to the terms: new, digital, interactive medias; to the relation of information technologies and the post-modern; to the relation of art and technology/media. Special attention is dedicated to the basic terms of discourse of the theory and aesthetic of art of new media and techno- or cyber-culture.
Syllabus
  • Course Contents
  • Fisrt part of the two-semester course of the theory of interactive media. Students will get to know the basic terms of the theory of interactive media, basic methodology and strategies of research of the art of new media.
