Course objectives
Student masters the usage of grammatical patterns learned in the course Japanese Language II. – theory, is able to create more complex constructions and has a thourogh knowledge of the basic grammar of the modern Japanese; he/she is equiped with sufficient vocabulary for basic conversation and translation of simple texts.
Learning outcomes
After finishing this course the student is able to:
- describe objects and people in Japanese
- make a statements about a situation
- express his/her intentions in Japanese
- conduct a basic interaction while using phraseology
- use lexical means in sentence construction
- form morphological constructions
- build sentence structures and use them in appropriate situation
- read and interpret simple texts in Japanese

Teaching methods
Practise with focus on spoken language. Drill in creating correct morphological forms and syntactic structures with respect to specific contexts.
Assessment methods
The attendance is compulsory, 2 absences are allowed. The course ends with an written exam, which will summarize the grammar learned in summer semester (including the grammar learned in the previous semester). To acquire the credits for this subject, the attendant must obtain minimum 70 % of the short tests written during the semester (their purpose is to check the readiness for the class) and 70 % of the final test.
