The student is expected to have a basic instruction in teaching Japanese as foreign language and to be a native speaker of Japanese.

Course objectives
The goal of this course is to create a setting for excercise of teaching Japanese as a foreign language. The student is supposed to apply his/her theoretical knowledge to practice under the teacher's supervision. The aim is especially at teaching of correct pronunciation, contextual binding of phraseology, pattern practice, teaching phatic expressions and the socio-cultural background of Japanese language use.
Learning outcomes
After the course the student is able to:
Describe characteristics of basic phonological units of Japanese
Create a pronunciation excercise
Provide corrections in pronunciation
Create a basic excercise of grammatical patterns
Create and employ a basic conversation situation for practice of phatic expressions
Provide an English explanation of form, meaning and function of basic phraseological units in Japanese
Create a teaching material of socio-cultural aspects of Japanese language
