Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Croatian language course - practicing of grammar, translation exercises, stress on practical language. At the end of this course students are able to conversate on topics of adequate complexity, interpret phraseologies, recognise the stylistic value of a text or speech, understands spoken language without difficulty.
Learning outcomes
Absolvent will be able to communicate in Croatian at a level correspondent to 192 hours of language course.
Syllabus
  • Extending the vocabulary and the knowledge of grammar from course JSB_SLAVh3. Inflection, verbal regimen, writing č, ć, dž, đ, small and capital letters ect. Active speech abilities. Analysis of topical articles from Croatian press. Croatian usage guides. Textbook and exercise book Razgovarajte s nama! B1 - B2.

Teaching methods
Croatian: Seminars, 1½ hours per week, active participation. Home preparation. Conversacion and the grammar exercises. Text analysis of the newspaper articles from Croatian newspapers and magazines (columns, criticism), tales and poems of modern Croatian authors.
Assessment methods
conditions for credits: active participation in the lessons (which is allowed a maximum of 3 absences), all homework, successfully written test.
