Course objectives
Students are obliged to demonstrate their language proficiency on a C1 level of the EER (English, French, German, Russian, Spanish). Upon agreement with the supervisor (or the doctoral committee) students can prove the required level of language competence by presenting a paper at a scholarly conference or publishing and article in a foreign language.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to demonstrate their language competence in a scholarly communication in a foreign language and will be able to work with a foreign-language text in an active and passive way.
Syllabus
  • Upon agreement with the supervisor student will present a paper at a scholarly conference or publish a paper in one of the world languages. The language of the paper must obtain a positive evaluation by the reviewer.
Literature
  • Literatura je předepsána individuálně podle tématu práce.
  • Literature is assigned on an individual basis based on the topic of the thesis.
Teaching methods
Independent work, consultations with the supervisor.
Assessment methods
Credit for the presentation of a paper at a scholarly conference or for publishing a paper in one of the prescribed languages.
