Course objectives
Didactic aspects of museum’s interpretation will introduce students into the theory and ideology of museum didactics, as well as a set of knowledge and shared experience in the field of educator skills. The main objectives of the course are a basic introduction to museum education - preparation and implementation of the educational program - in order to present museology and its related fields. Also, enables students to better understand the requirements, procedures, and methods of museum didactics in its presentation fraction. Regardless of students' future focus, the completion of both subjects Presentation Museum Didactics and Exhibition Museum Didactics will prepare students for the cooperation with a museum educator as well as for the role of a museum educator itself.
Learning outcomes
Completion of the course will enable students: - lists the basic views, directions, and theories applied within the framework of the museum education;
- formulates the principles of creation, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs;
- describes the processing of educational strategy and synergies of individual sectors of museum work on its preparation and implementation;
- applies theoretical foundations of museum education into a practical design of the educational program.
