Course objectives
This course is offered to first year students to broaden their vocabulary of Dutch. Several sections from the book Thematische woordenschat. Nederlands voor anderstaligen (Thematic vocabulary. Dutch for foreigners) are being dealt with.
The first part of the course mainly focusses on concrete words (for instance names for animals, body parts, clothing,...). Later in the course more abstract words are being dealt with (within the field of religion, history, literature,...).
This course is meant to be an additional course to the obligated "Language Acquisition" and serves as a preparation class for some subjects of the second year (esp. History and Culture and Literature).
