Course objectives
This course deals with the description of the structure of the Dutch language on the level of a sentence. The students learn to understand the theoretical framework of syntax and they will learn to apply it practically. Part and parcel of the course are the practical exercises from syntax. sentence analysis, the particulars of the Dutch word order, aspectuality in Dutch. The aim of the course is to acquire theoretical knowledge of Dutch sentence structure and its practical application.

Assessment methods
Active participation is needed, preparation of the given tasks. The subject will be closed by a written credit test at the end of the term. Seminars take place once a week.
