Course objectives
This course gives an overview of current literature research within the field of Dutch studies, by means of scientific articles published in leading magazines and proceedings in the period 2010 - 2018. The central research objects, questions and approaches/methods are discussed. In this way, students get to know (new) research fields within Dutch literature research. They learn how to read scientific articles in a thorough and critical manner and are also acquainted with the academic style used in this field. They also read the recent novel Klont (2017) by Maxim Februari and work out a research proposal, which they present by means of a scientific poster.
