The requirement for the participation in this class is a completed bachelor degree in german language or a comparable field of study and the conclusion of the seminar NJDII_001 Didaktika I - pozorování" and the observating stage "NJDII_004 Pedagogická praxe průběžná I".

Course objectives
The seminar teaches current methods of literature didactics for German as a foreign language, their theoretical foundations and practical implementation. A broad concept of literature is used as a basis, which, in addition to various literary genres, also includes other aesthetic media, such as graphic novels and auditive literature. The focus is on an approach to literature and aesthetic media that uses a literary approach to language for foreign language learning.
Learning outcomes
The students gain basic insight into the medial, literary and discursive nature of literary texts and aesthetic media. They know different approaches and methods of literature didactics. They can analyse literary texts and aesthetic media under a didactical perspective and are able to create and critically reflect own teaching concepts and designs.

  • 1) Approaches and methods of literature didactics 2) Potential of working with literature for German as a foreign language. 3) Reflection on the literary dimension of language and its relevance for the didactics of literature. 4) Transformation and translation as principles of literature didactics 5) Questions of text selection 6) Working with auditory literature 6) Working with forms of graphic narration
