Course objectives
The aim of the course is to get acquainted with modern trends in German linguistics, especially from the point of view of contact linguistics, pragmalingvistics and the point of view of the qualitative analysis of discourse.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student will be able to orientate himself in the latest trends in the study of contemporary language and will be able to apply this knowledge in the preparation of his own research questions.

  • Thematic areas of the subject vary according to the suggestions of visiting lecturers who participate in the course. In 2018 the course concerns Discourse from the point of view of linguistic disciplines.
