Course objectives
Topic: In this seminar Austrian authors who were born after 1960 will be examined in detail. On the one hand their biographies, on the other hand their works will be presented in a wider context.
In a further step, stylistic or thematic peculiarities of the authors are reviewed. Also possible interpretations and comparisons of the works will be discussed.
Objective: At the end of the seminar, students should have an overview of the recent Austrian author generation and a basic knowledge of the literary landscape of modern Austria.

Teaching methods
The seminar is based on methods of presentation, analysis and synthesis of knowledge. It also uses collective work, in-class discussions and individual work of students.
Methods: lectures, group work, presentations, plenary discussions.
Assessment methods
For a positive completion the following requirements must be fulfilled:
