Course objectives
How can I stimulate my students to talk? How can I deal with inhibitions to talk? How can I organize big learner groups in a way, that everybody can talk? In which way can I handle talking activities in homogenous groups? If you already asked yourself one of these questions, then this class might be right for you. Even thought talking is one of the most important skills in language learning, it is unfortunately seldom practised in class. At the same time the pupil experience of his/her own talking skills has a significant impact on motivation. Together we are going to try in this class, which methods are suitable for us and for our own teaching. Theoretical and practical approaches are going to be combined in a reasonable way.
Learning outcomes
The students will be able to choose suitable excercises. They will be able to apply them, to manage them and afterwards to evaluate them and correct the mistakes.
