Course objectives
At the end the student will be able to make the etymological analysis on his own.
Syllabus
  • 1. Principles of methodology of etymology. 2. Specific form of word-formation. 3. Foreign word as an object of etymology. 4. Etymologisation of propria. 5. Specifics of etymology of dialectims and slang-words. 6. Outer corrections of the etymology of Slavic in the context of IE etymology.
