Cíle předmětu
This course gives a theoretical overview on experimental archaeology along with a practical workshop. Next to the theoretical and methodological framework various topics, materials and techniques are discussed. This ranges from palaeolithic flintknapping to medieval goldsmithing techniques. The theoretically discussed topics are presented in experiments during a 4day workshop in the open air area of the museum MAMUZ in Asparn a.d. Zaya where students shall participate actively.and carry out their own experiments.
