Course objectives
Students will achieve knowledge of basements of andragogy and of principles of human resource development from international, national, regional and organizational perspective. Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to demonstrate the knowledge of the relationship between education and competency in context of life and social roles. Students will describe different types of the variety of interests on adult education and human resource development and will reflect the needs of main agents in the field.

  • Andragogy and human resource development – disciplinary frameworks
  • Lifelong learning and adult education today, contexts and documents for Czech republic and European community.
  • Human resource development at the national and international level: research and analysis.
  • Main thesis of human resource development. Learning, performance and change as main foci of HRD. Education, training and development. HRD and social responsibility.
  • Organizational behaviour. Individual and organizational development. Learning organizations.
  • Plurality of interests in the field of adult education and human resource development: state, organization, individual.
  • Adult education and human resource development through perspective of management, personal management and other disciplines.
  • Workplace learning.
