Course objectives
The students should be able to translate various types of texts. In the Spring 2020 the attention will be paid especially to the translation of various film documents in the ambit of the project "Brno in Sao Paulo."
Learning outcomes
As a result the students will be able to create tittles to the films. In other semestres the students will be able to translate various types of texts.

  • Spring 2020 Preparation of the titles for the films Stadion, Osud jménem Tugendhat a Vila Tugendhat: srdce z onyxu Brno in Sao Paulo Other semesters: 1. stylistic a textual linguistic; 2. the basic division of the texts types (according to the function linguistic); 3. analyse of the selected texts . journalistic, economic, diplmatic, judge; 4. passive and active translation of the selected texts.

Teaching methods
Semester 2020 - films, translations Theoretical part: reading of the linguistic texts Practical part:analyzation ot texts, translation and interpretation of the selectes texts.
Assessment methods
Semester 2020 - the evaluation of the final version of the titles. The test will contain translated parts. The written exam includes the active and passive translation of the texts that were analyzed during the semester. The student has to receive minimally 75% of the maximum of the points. Only that students that had a presentation in the class and that were only twice absent will be allowed to write the test.
