Course objectives
For future translators, it is important not only to focus on the style approaches of the default language, but also to master the stylistic specifics of the target language. The aim of the course is to provide students with a view of modern Czech stylistics to creation of texts and characteristics of expression means typical of individual functional areas of human communication. The theoretical basis will be supplemented by practical analysis of specific texts and by the development of stylistic skills.
Learning outcomes
Students will become familiar with the principles of Czech texts from various functional areas and will be able to apply their knowledge when translating from foreign languages.
