Course objectives
The aim of this course is to introduce the most important chapters of Psychology of language. During the semester, student will be introduced to modern trends in research of language and the most important issues of psychology of language (language acquisition, foreign language learning, production and perception of language).
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to:
- extend his or her knowledge from Cognitive psychology
- enriche his or her knowledge abouth linguistic topics
- have implications to other fields of psychology (developmental psychology, psychopathology, psychological diagnostic etc.)
- learn something new about metodhology of psycholinguistic research

  • 2. Phylogenetics of language; Language and the animals; Language and the machines
  • 3. Neuroscience and language; Mental representations
  • 4. Acquisition of language; Language attrition
  • 5. Foreign language learning; Bilingualism
  • 6. Production and perception of language
  • 7. Myths about language
  • 8. Language disorder; Language and clinical patients; Psychological diagnostic methods
  • 9. Final discussion.
