Course objectives
An experience-oriented course that features several currents of contemporary dance therapy as a part of body-based psychotherapy and artetherapy. It distinguishes therapeutic dance (primitive expression, symbolic dance therapy) and dance movement psychotherapy. It also refers to other forms of dance use in psychotherapy, such as Cuban psychobalet. Relativity with other body-directed psychotherapy reveals the inclusion of contact relaxation and improvisation, massage and general focus on deepening contact with the body and strengthening positive self-acceptance.
