Course objectives
The Lecture in Medieval Script II course is part of a series of lectures which prepare students to read and interpret Latin script from the 13th to the 15th centuries (gothic script). The seminar is closely connected to the Latin Script in the Middle Ages (1200-1500) course and students should enrol in it together with this course. Seminar students at the Lecture in Medieval Script II will improve their ability to read Gothic script using extracts connected to do documents from the seminars of the Latin Script in the Middle Ages II course.

Upon finishing the course students will be able to:

- analyse and read original Latin texts from 1200-1500.
