Course objectives
The course deals with main phenomena of the development of Greek literature from the 16th to the 18th centuries, during the period of Turkish rule. Lectures will be supplemented by readings from Greek literature. At the end of the course, students will be able to understand main phenomena of the development of Modern Greek literature in the given period, main tendencies of literary development and to classify authors and works into literary context and characterise them.
