Course objectives
In this reading seminar, students read a selection of theoretical texts based on different epistemologies relevant in the study of religion today.
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:
  • discuss complicated theoretical texts;
  • write essays on a specified topic, based on clear argument.

    Teaching methods
    Home reading. Discussion on the readings, their use and implications. Essay.
    Assessment methods
    Evaluation of three essays based on the required readings and specified questions. The precision, relevance, and formal and scholarly quality of the essays make 100 percent of the evaluation.
