Course objectives
Introduction to Romanian grammar and vocabulary. Introducing the basics and advanced knowledge of Romanian regarding morphology, syntax and lexis, oral as well as written expression, by means of the most up-to-date educational methods. The course objective is to expand students’ practical language abilities with the outlook of reaching a basic knowledge level in two semester’s time. The goals are: acquiring the ability to communicate (general language), read and work with simple texts. Individual seminars will focus on hands-on practicing of language phenomena to an extent facilitating their fixation and subsequent automation in daily usage. The first semester of the language courses shall be concluded by a written credit test.

  • CV 1 Pronunciation (based on listening exercises), accent, intonation, fluency.
  • CV 2 Grammatical gender, definite and indefinite article.
  • CV 3 Statement, sentence. Reading simple texts.
  • CV 4 The verb. Statement intonation, rhythmical group.
  • CV 5 Greetings, forms of address. Pronunciation practice.
  • CV12 Review of pronunciation, grammar and reading.

Teaching methods
Seminar: application of theoretical knowledge on authentic texts (recordings). During their presentations students show their ability to interconnect on their own their theoretical knowledge and practical analysis of a specific text.
