Course objectives
The seminar is a survey coruse focusing maily on French literature. Students will look at the chief comparative principles which will help their orientation in national literatures and show them various approaches to literary works.
Syllabus
  • A brief historical survey of comparative literary studies; comparative studies and national literatures; comparisons, typology; contacts, themes, and literary myths; literature and the visual arts.
