All students of Translatology Studies of the Spanish Languague are supposed to enroll the 1 st semester. Attendence is obligatory.

Course objectives
The course will be dedicated to major European and world theories of translation (St. Jerome, Martin Luther, Etienne Dolet, Friedrich Schleiermacher, Jean-Paul Vinay - Jean Darbelnet, Roman Jacobson, Eugene Nida, Georges Mounin,Jiří Levý, Danica Seleskovitch,Marianne Lederer, Katharina Reiss, Hans Vermeer, Christiane Nord, Itamar Even-Zohar, Gideon Toury, A. Pym, L. Venuti).
Learning outcomes
Studentsthe development of the theory of translation and they will get of the most important representatives of individual theoretical approaches. The student will get an overview of the development of the theory of translation. In addition they will be acquinted with of the most important representatives of the most important theoretical approaches.

The written exam is based on the topics discussed during the semester (e-learning). The student must complete the final test in the ELF (e-learning).
