Course objectives
The goal of this course is to introduce basis of human communications, mental processes, communication via third person. That concern introduction to different level of human communication, factors that affects communication, speaker and listener.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the students will know the history of interpreting and current law connected to Czech Sign Language interpreters. They will understand all levels of human communication, how speaker and listener affect the communication in the sence of understanding and will understand mental processes run during the interpreting.

  • 4. Communication situations and characterictics.
  • 5. Communication via third person.
  • 6. Genesis of interpreting and translation.
  • 7. Personal characteristics of an interpreter and ethics in connected to interpreting.
  • 8. Law connected to interpreting.
