Course objectives
The examination is scheduled for the end of the Master’s degree programme and it tests the student’s ability to write an essay on a given literary or linguistic topic.
Syllabus
  • The topics of the written examination are given in all four fields below; one of them is to be chosen by the student: 1. An essay on a given topic in linguistics 2. An essay on a given topic in literary history or in literary theory 3. An analysis of a poetic or prosaic text. 4. A translation of a theoretical linguistic or literary text, or of a fiction, and a subsequent theoretical commentary in Italian.
