Course objectives

On the basis of selected texts - mainly Middle High German, Early New High German - the developement of the word meanings should be discussed.

Obecný úvod:
Stručný přehled hlavních tendencí vývoje lexika - slova zděděná; slova přejatá
- typy přejímek
Synchronní popis významu - významové rysy, sémantická pole ...
Typy posunu významu (rozšíření, zúžení, zhoršení, zlepšení ... motivace)
Četba vybraných textů, převod do současné němčiny, rozbor výše shrnutých jevů na konkrétních případech.
Texty - přednostně středověké památky se vztahem k českým zemím, případně i s možností srovnání se staročeskou podobou daného textu, či textu srovnatelného žánru: kroniky, dvorská epika, lyrika, ale i neliterární památky - listiny, listy...
