Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to identify and analyse specific lexical phenomena of German, to make deductions based on the analysis of particular texts.

  • Theory of nomination
  • Paradigmatic and syntagmatic reltaions
  • Polysemy vs. homonymy
  • Criteria of meaning change
  • Lexical characterology of modern German
  • Social and territorial stratification of lexicon
