Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to: define the main concept of student'research topics and define their information need
search, evaluate relevant information sources
know and use the main subject electronic information sources
know that they can examine the bibliography, footnotes, and references sections of sources they find to locate additional sources of information on their topic Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to understand and know kind of contemporary electronic information resources; to use, search in databases, digital libraries, OPACs, search engines

  • Internet: trends, unconventional perspectives and contexts, information literacy, research on the behavior of Internet users searching for information, advanced search techniques on the surface and deep web - Specialized library electronic information sources: overview, applications - Information retrieval techniques in electronic information resources: overall generalization
