Course objectives
The goal of the subject is: 1) to use OER to improve knowledge of information science and related fields and to enhance the competence of self-directed learning 2) to present main concepts within online education 3) to strenghten the skil of analysis and evaluation of learning process In the end of the calss, students should be able to: 1) identify suitable online resurces for learning 2) learn in online environment 3) present the outcomes of their learning 4) analyze and evaluate MOOC
Syllabus
  • This subject enables to choose the MOOC from these platforms: Coursera, EdX and Udacity. The student is choosing a course from the recommended course offering, which is available at the file with study materials - or student will make the choice by himself and report to the teacher for approval. The course will be approved if the course has relation to the field of information science or is anyhow important for individual development of the student. The subject has following structure: 1) The selection of the course 2) 5 seminars 3) Analysis 4) Presentation in the end of the class

Teaching methods
Online education, analysis and evaluation, self-directed learning, presentations. The course is also suitable for combined students (the same conditions for passing the course), personal presence i necessary only for final presentation.
Assessment methods
Students will sucesfuly pass the colocvium, if: 1) He/she sucessfully finishes he course with the certificate 2) He/she creates analytical evaluation of MOOC 3) He/she creates a final presentation
