Course objectives
The seminar focuses on improving command of grammatical phenomena which did not receive detailed treatment in Normative Grammar courses I – III due to time constraints.
Syllabus
  • The following topics are focused on: The verb.
  • Sequence of tenses.
  • Reported speech.
  • Expressing: condition, purpose, concession, consequence, cause.

Assessment methods
Credit – active in-class participation (80% attendance). In case a student fails to reach the required attendance, a written test will be called for instead. An attendance rate lower than 50% warrants an on-site written exam. Tests submitted by September 5th 2009 will be counted as accomplishing the regular deadline, by September 17th as a resit date. In case a student fails to submit the replacement test within the limit, he/she will not receive the credit.
